This sticky and spicy tofu feels like such a treat! It’s also super simple, only has 5 ingredients, and can be used in a ton of different meals! Buddha bowls, stir fry, salads, wraps – YES YES YES!⠀

The second photo shows it all nicely wrapped up in a delicious salad roll. One of our fave summertime meals 🙌🏽⠀

Ingredients:⠀
.⠀
1 pack extra firm tofu⠀
1/4 cup veggie oil ⠀
2 tbls soy sauce or aminos ⠀
2 tbls rice vinegar ⠀
1 tbls sambal chilli sauce ⠀
1 tsp potato starch mixed in a tbls of water⠀

Directions:⠀

Prepare your firm tofu by first cutting it along the short side into 6 pieces – and then cut those 6 pieces in half length wise. They should look sort of like large French fries!

Lay the tofu flat and squeeze out the water by pressing down on it with a paper towel
.⠀
Heat your veggie oil in a non-stick or cast iron (my fave) pan on medium heat
. ⠀
Once oil is hot, add your tofu and let them fry on each side for 2 – 3 mins so the whole piece gets nice and crispy and golden!⠀

While your tofu is frying, combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisk together⠀
.⠀
Once your tofu is done – remove it form the pan and place it on paper towel to let some of the oil come off⠀
.⠀
Remove all the excess oil from your pan, and put the tofu back in on medium/high heat⠀
.⠀
Pour the sauce in the pan and allow it to boil and get nice and sticky ⠀

Mix the tofu around in the sticky sauce to ensure it covers all the nice little crispy tofu babies 👌🏽

Remove from pan and plate up with whatever yummy plant-based meal your little heart desires 🥰
