Yummy Classic One Bowl Vegan Waffles By @eatwithclarity 🧇
Ingredients🌿
Dry
• 1 cup oat flour
• 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour (gluten free, regular works too)
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Wet:🍃
• 1 3/4 cup non-dairy milk (I used almond)
• 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
• 1/4 cup oil
• 2 flax eggs (2 tbsp ground flax seeds + 5 tbsp water)
• 1/4 cup light brown, cane, or coconut sugar
• 2 tsp vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS🌱
1. Prepare your flax egg and set aside to thicken.
2. Measure out the non-dairy milk and add in the vinegar. Stir together and set aside for 10. This will act as our buttermilk.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients.
4. Add in all remaining wet ingredients, including the milk and flax egg once thickened.
5. Heat and lightly grease a waffle iron. Mine has 5 settings, I usually put it somewhere between the 3rd and 4th.
6. Once it’s ready, add the batter and close the lid. Let cook until it beeps or the light turns green.
7. Remove from the waffle iron and transfer to a cooling rack. Repeat until all batter has been used. You can also keep them warm in an oven set to about 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Enjoy!💚
