This can be done with different types of dal or with the combination of dal. Here is one such simple and easy flavoured dal recipe is lasooni dal tadka recipe made with combination of moong masoor and a generous amount of garlic seasoning. If you love garlic flavor then this garlic dal tadka is just for you. Serves as a great side dish with basmati rice, pulao or roti with any kind of pickle. Here I am having this lasooni dal tadka with multigrain roti and mirchi (chilli)pickle 😋. Must try this combination 👍.

1cup moong masoor dal(1:1)
2 medium size tomato
1inch ginger pcs
1 tbsp ghee for masala
1tbsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp hing
Salt to taste
1tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp for garlic seasoning
1tbsp red chilli powder
Few coriander leaves
1. While seasoning, red chilli powder also added to it. It helps to add the spice level and also texture and colour to garlic dal tadka.
2. You can experiment with combination of masoor dal, moong dal, channa dal and even toor dal with equal quantity.
3. Add some coriander leaves for extra flavour and taste.
4. Don’t overcook the dal, this will reduce its taste.
