One sunny afternoon, walking through TamCoc, Vietnam, we chanced upon a quaint little restaurant and sat down for a meal. The lady who owned the place took our order for a hotpot and as we started discussing the recipe with her she sensed our excitement.Not only did she take us to her kitchen and show us how it’s made, she even shared her recipe with us. That was an unforgettable meal. We are lucky to have gotten a part of history handed down to us by one of its original custodians and are extremely delighted to be bringing it to YOU.

The Lau(hotpot) has a warm, flavoured broth simmering away into which are added a variety of vegetables such as tofu, mushrooms, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, baby spinach and rice noodles. The ingredients cook in the broth for a few minutes and soak up all the flavours. This is then served hot and is a hearty, comforting meal that’s best enjoyed with friends and family as a time to get together without distractions, enjoy each others’ company and, of course, eat some good food while youโ€™re at it.
