Vegetable Potstickers by @thefoodietakesflight 🥟 —I made these from scratch, from the dough for wrappers all the way to the filling, and it’s so fulfilling especially when you get to enjoy them at the end. Going to be taking some time to work on my dumplings wrapping in the coming says (once I get my hands on more flour). To make dough for dumplings, you only need 3 ingredients + some time and patience!
Here’s what you’ll need to make around 35 wrappers:
2 ¼ cups (325g) all purpose flour
¾ cup + 1 tbsp warm water
¾ tsp salt
1. Add in 2 ¼ cups of all purpose flour and salt into a mixing bowl. Mix well. Create a well in the center of the bowl and pour in the warm water.
2. Use a spatula or chopsticks to mix the flour and water. Once the dough starts to come together, you can use your hands to mix the bits of dough. Knead together for several minutes. If the dough is a bit dry, add a splash of warm water.
3. Shape the dough into a ball, then place it in a bowl. Cover it with a damp towel and let it rest for 15 minutes.
4. Knead the dough a few more times. Return it to the bowl then cover with a towel. Let it rest for an additional 15 minutes.
For the filling, I used a mix of tofu and veggies but you can of course work with whatever you currently have on hand.
