Vegan Post-Workout Dragonfruit Protein Smoothie

If you have some time after an intense workout, itโ€™s a great idea to prepare a smoothie full of the nutrients needed to help your muscles recover.

Protein powders can help you achieve your fitness goals, whether you are a serious athlete or even if you just exercise a lot. They are not necessary if you can get protein from other sources, but they can be pretty convenient. There are plenty of vegan and organic protein smoothies with incredible flavors and texturesโ€”all made naturally and ethically. Here’s a recipe:

Protein Smoothie with Banana and Pitahaya โ€œNiceโ€ Cream
Ingredients:
– 100g of frozen bananas
– 100g of frozen dragon fruit pulp
– 1/4 cup of quick oats
– 1 1/2 cup of any plant-based milk
– 1 tbsp of cashew butter
– 2 tbsp of filtered water
1 scoop of organic vegan protein powder, vanilla flavor
Cacao nibs (optional)

Preparation:
1- Mix the protein powder with 1 cup of milk and the oats. Set aside.
2- In a food processor, add the dragon fruit pulp, the bananas, and the rest of the milk. Blend until you see lumps. Set aside.
3- Mix two tablespoons of water with the cashew butter until you have a creamy cashew sauce.
4- In your favorite glass, add the protein and fruit mix. Serve the cashew sauce on top and add the cacao nibs to give it some crunchiness. You can also add whatever you want: nuts, seeds, granola… get creative!
