Vegan Halifax-style DONAIRS! ? This recipe is from @edgyveg and turned out PERFECTLY!

Ingredients:
– Gusta Schwarma Loaf (one loaf makes A LOT; I made about 10 donairs)
– 1/4 – 1/2 cup Vegetable Broth
– Diced Tomatoes & Diced White Onions for toppings
– Pita
Sauce:
– 1 cup Evaporated Coconut Milk
– 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
– 2 tsp Garlic Powder
– 1 clove minced Garlic
– 1/4 cup White Vinegar

1) Whisk together Evaporated Milk, Sugar, Garlic & Garlic Powder
2) While whisking, slowly pour in Vinegar. Do not over-mix.
3) Refrigerate for at least 30 min.
4) Thinly slice your Shwarma loaf. It is CHALLENGING so give yourself time LOL
5) Simmer Shwarma slices in a frying pan with Vegetable Broth (this usually takes 5-10 minutes on medium heat). The edges will brown slightly as they marinate, but they should still be soft. I tend to simmer til the broth runs out.
6) Heat your Pita (I just microwaved mine for approx. 30 seconds). Assemble your donair! ?

TIP! If you’re making a lot, you can wrap them in tinfoil to help them stay warm and make them easier to eat! ?
