Vegan Gyros with Garlic Shoots 孜然蒜薹素牛肉 ?

Stir-fried vegan meat with green garlic shoots, dried chili, cumin seeds and ginger. This is the vegan version of a very popular Hunan dish ?

The key spice in this dish is – Chinese Cumin(which is different from the normal cumin), it is commonly used in Hunan barbecuing and cooking. You should be able to find the Chinese cumin seeds and fresh garlic shoots at your local Asian store.

Ingredients?
Vegan Meat Substitute 80g
Garlic Shoots 300g
Chinese Cumin Seeds 2 tbsp
Chili Flakes 1.5 tbsp
Soy Sauce 2 tbsp

Recipe?
1. Cut the garlic shoots into shorter parts (length about 2cm), chop the vegan meat into small pieces if you are not using minced vegan meat

2. Add oil in the wok(medium heat), when oil is hot add vegan meat substitute (here I used mince vegan meat), pan-fry for about 3 mins until the vegan meat is cooked and its colour has changed, add 1.5 tbspchili flakes, 2 tbsp cumin seeds, stir-fry for 30s

3. Add garlic shoots and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, until the colour of the garlic shoots has changed, add 2 tbsp of soy sauce and stir for another 2 minutes
