VEGAN BUFFALO WINGS
I make these regularly with cauliflower, but this time I decided to also add some cup mushrooms for myself!
Cut up cauliflower in florets.
Dunk these florets and the mushrooms in this mix of wet ingredients:
2 cups of thick plant milk
1 tbsp vinegar
Then roll and coat in this mix of dry ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flower
1 cup corn starch
1 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tbsp paprika powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Repeat these two steps so they are double dipped. Deep fry them in hot oil until crispy. You could fry them a second time after 5 minutes cooling for extra crisp.
For the buffalo sauce: on medium heat, heat up 1 cup BBQ sauce, 1/3 cup red hot sauce and 2 tbsp vegan butter. Add some water if it’s getting to thick. Let the sauce cool for a few minutes before folding in your buffalo wings untill coated.
Beautiful on it’s own or serve with rice!
