Usually i’ll just wing it with smoothies and I end up with a brown juice that I struggle to drink… eating with your eyes is a real thing yknow!! ? so as soon as I saw a smoothie on #greenkitchenstories that asked for ingredients that I had… like I couldn’t believe I had every single ingredient!! I made it right away and it was ah mazing. (I tend to look for smoothies that include a berry and greens) So my moral to the story… following smoothie recipes is better than not, and this one included frozen pomegranate seeds, celery sticks, greens, dates, ginger, banana, lemon juice & oat milk. I’ve also frozen the kale stalks, celery tops and ginger skin to make a broth with when I’ve gathered enough organics to try and avoid food waste… plus there’s so many more nutrients in these leftovers that would be going to waste.
