Throughout my nutrition journey there has been one constant when it comes to people not wanting to try a plant-based diet…. Protein.🙀⁣

Most people are so concerned with getting enough protein to be strong that they can’t imagine how weak and fragile vegans even survive.😼⁣

Well I’m here to let you in on a secret: Us vegans have made a deal with the devil himself… seitan!👹⁣

Seitan(not Satan!) is the superstar of my protein line-up. I eat these hot little buns everyday, and with 29g of protein, 13g carbs, and 1g fat you can eat these all day everyday!🌟⁣⁣

What really makes seitan the superstar is how easy it is to make! With only a handful of ingredients, it’s impossible to screw this one up!⚡️⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Ingredients:⁣⁣
• 150g lupini beans ⁣⁣
• 6 oz water⁣⁣
• 120g vital wheat gluten⁣⁣
• 20g nutritional yeast⁣⁣
• 1 Tbsp garlic powder ⁣⁣
• 1 Tbsp fresh rosemary ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Instructions:⁣
•Preheat oven to 375 Fahrenheit.⁣
•Blend beans and water in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. ⁣
•Mix beans and all ingredients together in a large bowl. ⁣
•Weigh mixture into 4 equal parts and roll into balls. ⁣
•Place on baking tray and bake at 375 Fahrenheit for 50 mins, or until golden brown.🤤⁣⁣

I prefer to cut the balls up into deli slices and warm them in a pan until crispy, then I add my favorite sauce and put them in a sandwich, or add to any recipe as a meat alternative!😋⁣⁣
