this week we had a free interpretation dish! we were given a list of ingredients and had to come up with our own dish ?‍? I made my own tortilla chips using masa harina & layered with guacamole, shredded lettuce, and a beet salad to add that sweetness. delishhhh ?

homemade tortilla chips:
2 cups masa harina
1 1/4 cups water
salt
paprika
olive oil

In a bowl, combine masa harina with water and salt until a dough is formed. The texture should not be very dry, if so add a little water at a time. Divide into 60 g balls. Line a tortilla press with baking paper (you can also use the bottom of two pans to flatten the balls rather than a tortilla press). Flatten each tortilla and cook on a pan with a little bit of oil for a minute on each side. Once your tortillas are cooked, cut in 8 pieces and fry in oil until crunchy. You can also bake them at 400 for about 10 min, just make sure to brush them with oil beforehand. Once crunchy, sprinkle paprika and salt on them and voila!! ?

Tortillas caseras
2 tzas de masa harina
1 1/4 taza de agua
Sal
Pimentón rojo
Aceite de oliva
