The only immunity booster you need

Homemade Kada

Traditionally people have been using a mortar and pestle to make kada but since I don’t have one I used my mini food processor to make it.

In a food processor

Add 2 inch piece ginger, 1 tsp ajwain seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp fennel seeds, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 small cinnamon stick, 4 cloves, 4 pepper corns and blitz to a coarse texture. Add the mixture to 3 1/2 cups of water with a 12-14 leaves of tulsi/basil, 1 tbsp palm jaggery or honey, 1 bay leaf torn into several pieces and bring to a boil. Simmer on medium low until it reduces by half. Strain and drink it hot. Do not throw the ingredients away. You can reuse it to make another batch.
