The humble cauliflower might not seem like the most exciting vegetable, but cutting it into thick slabs and roasting it with spices, transforms it into quite a fine dish. These spicy cauliflower steaks feel fancy enough for a dinner party, yet they’re simple enough for an everyday dinner or BBQs. PS: those burnt edges are the tastiest part! 😉
1 head Cauliflower
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbs Ketchup
1 tsp sriracha or chilli sauce
1 tbs sesame oil
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs Agave or Maple syrup
Preheat your oven.
Remove leaves from stem end of cauliflower, leaving the core intact.
Using a large knife, slice cauliflower into half.
Than cut the steaks from the inside out.
Steaks should be around 1/2 inch.
Combine the rest of the ingredients and brush the cauliflower with the mixture.
Roast in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
