Teriyaki tofu bowls for dinner πŸ˜‹ I had this a week or so ago and forgot to post it, but it felt like such a huge accomplishment to fry the tofu and make it tasty πŸ₯°βœ¨ I’ve always been pretty intimated by tofu to be honest, mainly because I know I have to take extra steps to prepare it compared to most of the other food/ingredients I’m using, but it honestly isn’t that hard! I surprised myself ☺️

I don’t entirely remember what all was used in this, but I can give a pretty good guess:
-some diced sweet potato
-sliced mushrooms
-cut broccoli
-maifun rice sticks
-teriyaki tofu
-green onions
-avocado
-flax seeds
-Panda Express teriyaki sauce

So I guess you could say this is a lot like my last post, I had just been CRAVING noodles those few days πŸ˜‚ So, I started prepping the tofu by draining it out of the package, then slicing it into 4 slices. I set it on several paper towels with several more sitting on top, as well as a skillet and two plates to add pressure, this allows all the remaining liquid to squeeze out of the tofu and easier to marinate later on. I usually do this for about half an hour to an hour long, just depending on how long I have to cook and how thick the tofu is (whether I slice it or leave it whole). After that, I put it in a plastic Ziploc bag with my marinade of choice, and leave it in the fridge for at least an hour, I prefer to marinate the overnight if possible though. Then, all you need is a little bit of oil and a hot skillet, pour these bad boys in, sauce and all, and let them brown on each side until satisfied. It’s actually a lot simpler than I thought. I did a thing here, waited, did another little thing there, waited, then ate up. I am no longer intimated by tofu πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ˜‹
