?Super Simple Crispy Squares?
So easy it’s a bit silly. No bake, just 3 base ingredients, and fabulously sweet and crispy. Someone told me about brown rice syrup, never used it before, and it lived up to every expectation in these little beauties!
Grab a saucepan, and slowly melt:
• 2 tbsp brown rice syrup
• 2 tbsp almond butter
Stir often. Once melted together and well combined, add in:
• 2 to 3 cups rice krispies
Leave it at these 3 ingredients for plain crispy squares, but additional dried fruit, nuts and seeds all go spectacularly well. I added a handful of dried cranberries and pumpkin seeds. Omg. Heaven.
Press the mix into a lined dish, mine is 9” square, smooth the top using the back of a spoon (or wet hands), and refrigerate for a good half hour. Slice into squares, or bars, or stars, or whatever, and tuck in. They keep well for a few days in a sealed container, if they last that long. Also GREAT for beach picnics! ?
