💚STICKY TOFU WITH GINGER, SESAME & GARLIC💚 Recipe below!👇 Yesterday quite a few of you asked for simple dinner recipes – here is one! 😃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🤗Perfect if you have a packet of tofu hanging around in your fridge that you’re unsure what to do with👍⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😋Sweet, sticky, sesame-y, garlicky, gingery… Need I say more?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2-3 servings:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
400 g extra firm tofu⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 garlic cloves⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 thumb of ginger⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3 tbsp maple syrup⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tbsp tamari or soy sauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 tbsp sesame oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1 pinch chili flakes⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How to:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Take the tofu out of its packet, drain the water and pat the tofu dry with a paper towel. The firmer and more dry the better!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Press the garlic in a garlic press and grate the ginger.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the marinade.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Cut the tofu into bite sized chunks and marinate for at least 10 minutes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Heat a pan to medium/high heat and spoon in the tofu (save the marinade in the bowl) and fry for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Stir every now to make sure all sides get nice n caramelized.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6. Add the remaining marinade and turn off the heat. Give it a stir and serve!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

😃I like serving my sticky tofu with brown rice, steamed broccoli, chives and sesame seeds. Cilantro is optional! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
