Spaghetti Bolognese 🔥🔥
I haven’t had one for a while, so it was probably about time! 🤪
I used to make it all the time, I’ve followed many different recipes over the years, but I started playing around (throwing in a bit of this and that in). I’ve always stuck to the same method since. Its pretty tasty so give it a try.

INGREDIENTS:
Mince – Asda plant based kitchen (this is one of my fave)
1/2 carton of quality passata
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
2 meat-free beef oxo cubes
Approx 3 tbsp of red wine vinegar
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tbsp of freshly chopped basil
1/2 tsp thyme (I used ground)
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/4tsp asafoetida
1 tbsp tomato purée
1 tsp oregano
1 chilli (finely chopped)
1 tbsp gravy granules (for that extra beefy flavour)
2 finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes

Most people prefer to add in onion and garlic but I prefer to cook without.

METHOD:
Fry chopped chilli along with garlic and onion if using. When sautéed, add in mince.
Add in tomato purée, red wine vinegar and oxo cubes with a splash of water.
Add in some passata, but not all.
Add all fresh / fried herbs, along with sun-dried tomatoes, coriander, ground black pepper and soy sauce.
After a few minutes, add the rest of the passata and gravy granules (weird I know but it’s actually really good).
Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.

Topped with spring onion, a sprinkle of applewood cheese and fresh basil.
