Sometimes You Just Really Want A Chocolate Chip Granola Bar

Sometimes you just really want a chocolate chip granola bar like you used to snack on back in elementary school. 🍫
•Melt 1/4 cup each of butter, golden syrup, & brown sugar in a pot until it gently starts to bubble. Take it off the heat and add 1tsp vanilla.
•Pour wet ingredients into a bowl with 2 cups crispy rice cereal & 1 cup instant oats. Stir and make sure all pieces are coated.
•Chop up & mix in your favourite vegan chocolate. Pour in a greased pan (size depends on how thick you want the bars) and press down FIRMLY. Top with more chocolate chips and press again.
^^ I didn’t press down hard enough so mine are a bit crumbly but still tasty.
•Let bars set in fridge for 3-4 hours. Cut & enjoy. 😍🤤
This is a very easy recipe to make with kids as it involves a few simple steps & no oven! My favourite kind of recipe! 👌🏼
