I have a new fave tempeh recipe! ?

This spicy smoky tempeh recipe by @simplyquinoa is my current go-to for a quick a delicious bowl. I used our hottest hot sauce, @adoboloco FIYA ? so it’s super spicy and goes SO well with the refreshing cucumber, tomato, crunchy cabbage and marinated kale!

I topped it with a simple tamari tahini sauce and a sprinkle of @traderjoes “everything but the bagel” seasoning.

For the tempeh:

•1 package tempeh, cubed
•1 T gf tamari/soy sauce/liquid aminos
•1 T liquid smoke
•1 T olive oil
•1 t maple syrup
•1 t hot sauce (I always use extra)

Pre-heat the oven to 375F

Mix together all of the ingredients and add the tempeh. I always let mine marinate for ~30 mins but it’s not totally necessary.

Transfer the tempeh to a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway.

For the tamari tahini sauce:

Combine
•5 T tahini
•1.5 T tamari/soy sauce
•1 T rice wine vinegar
•2-4T water. Add it gradually until the sauce reaches desired consistency.
