⁣RAW VEGAN CHOCOLATE PISTACHIO HALVA 🤎 (chocolate sesame fudge)⠀

Must be my Persian roots, but I love anything sesame. 😋 This is my HEALTHY take on halva – a traditional sweet that originates from the Middle East and Mediterranean that is typically made with a base of nut butter or nut flour. If you are a tahini freak like me. 🙋🏻‍♀️, who loves a healthy and decadent treat, that is loaded with GOOD FATS, then this is for you. Check the recipe below! 👇🏼⠀

1 cup tahini⠀
5 tablespoons raw cacao powder ⠀
4 tablespoons melted coconut oil⠀
4 tablespoons liquid sweetener of choice, adjust to taste ⠀
1 teaspoon vanilla extract⠀
1 handful of chopped pistachios ⠀
1 pinch of fresh ground cardamon⠀

Mix everything in a bowl and pour batter into a parchment lined bread loaf pan (8×5). Place in freezer for an hour or so, until solid. Then slice and enjoy! These treats will melt at room temp, so best to keep them stashed in the freezer, unless you plan to eat them all in one sitting. 😉
