1/2 pound (225 g) mushrooms (sliced)
1 large onion (finely chopped)
6 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream
1 cup (240 ml) vegetable broth (hot)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 stick (50 g) butter

Directions:

In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add onions, cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown. Transfer to a plate and set aside for a while. Add butter to the same skillet, melt it. Add mushrooms, fry over medium-high heat until the mushrooms are golden brown. Then reduce the heat to medium-low, add garlic, cook, stirring constantly, for 1 min, or until fragrant. Then stir in flour and gradually pour in heavy cream. Season with pepper and sweet paprika. Cook over low heat for 1 min, or until the sauce starts to thicken. Then add hot vegetable broth, fried onions, dried basil, and thyme. Mix well, cover, and cook over low heat for 10-15 min.
