Pineapple Rasam 🍍😍

Today’s lunch was rice with Pineapple Rasam and Beans Carrot Palya (also a bit of salted Moong dhal on the side πŸ˜‰)

– Cook pineapple pieces along with toor dhal and tomato.
– Pound/smash some garlic cloves, Jeera seeds and pepper corns.

– Heat oil in a cooking vessel, add the smashed ingredients and a pinch of hing (asafoetida).
– Pour in the cooked pineapple mixture and add some water.
– Add Rasam powder (I use what my mom makes and gives me ❀️), salt and only if needed a bit of Tamarind extract.

– Once it comes to boil, add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the heat 😊
