(This recipe is Gluten-free and you can most definitely skip the curd to make it vegan or use Vegan plain yougurt if available) 🤫
Background Story:
Dumas is a laid-back district at the mouth of the Tapi River, known for its beaches. When you go there you’ll find rows and rows of shops for Bhajiyas!! Which are ofcourse fried with lot and lots of oil!! So this comes as a wonderful option to have the same taste but in a healthier version! So yeah- why not!! ❤️🤤
🥬 100 Gms Spinach
🥬 2 Green Chilly
🥬 50 Gms Coriander
🥬 4 Garlic Cloves
🥬 An inch thick of Ginger
🥬 1 Tablespoon Curd/ Plain Yogurt
🥬 1 Cup Besan/ Chickpea Flour
🥬 1/2 Cup Chopped Tomatoes
🥬 Salt (as per taste)
🥬 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
🥬 1 Teaspoon Asafoetida (optional- But I like it in all my chillas) 😉
1. Take a mixture bowl and throw in all your ingredients except the tomatoes and blend it up to a smooth batter. Add 2-3 tablespoons of water if needed. (Pourable Batter consistency)
2. Take a non stick pan, brush oil, pour some batter and make small round chillas.
3. Place a few pieces of Tomatoes on the top and slowly cook on both the sides. (While cooking on the first side close the lid on the top)
And hooray- just like that your scrumptious morning breakfast is ready!! 😻💕
