{NEW} Raw Vegan Tan Slice
Anyone else a fan of a good piece of tan slice? Me too 🙋
This one leaves the butter & condensed milk at the door however and uses wholefood ingredients instead.
Just check out that generous caramel layer!!

Here’s the recipe:

BASE + crumble topping
▪️1+1/2 cups almond meal
▪️1/2 cup dates (soaked for 5 mins in boiling water, then drained)
▪️1/2 tsp cinnamon
▪️1/4 tsp salt

CARAMEL
▪️1 cup dates (soaked as before)
▪️3 Tbsp almond butter (or peanut butter if you like)
▪️1/4 cup cacao butter (or coconut oil)
▪️1/4 cup coconut milk (or milk of choice)
▪️1/4 tsp salt

DIRECTIONS:
1. Place base ingredients in the food processor and whizz until crumbly. Spoon 2/3 or mix into a lined loaf tin and press flat. Reserve 1/3 for the crumble topping.
2. Clean processor bowl the combine all caramel ingredients and whizz until creamy. Add more coconut milk to sure a smooth spreadable consistency.
3. Spoon caramel over base and smooth flat then sprinkle remaining crumble on top and place in the freezer for 2 hours before slicing and storing in the fridge.
