🥗MY TOP 3 TIPS TO MAKING A TAPAS STYLE LUNCHEON!🥗

🥗MY TOP 3 TIPS TO MAKING A TAPAS STYLE LUNCHEON!🥗

How amazing does this look?! I couldn’t even fit the corn on as there was so much food!

I make buffet style lunches a lot and it’s easy to get over-excited and spend a fortune, so here are my top 3 tips to making them cheap and affordable!

1 – Add LOADS of crudités! – carrots, celery and cucumber are cheap and delicious, so adding these to the plate will give you a variety of flavours without inflating the cost!

2 – ALWAYS have a central focus – in this case, it’s the hummus! By adding stuff that goes with this, like the bread, veg and falafel, you reduce risk of food waste as the flavours compliment each other and help you create the accompaniments around it, also keeping costs down!

3 – HALF the portions of individual items – because you have so much stuff, half the amount you’d normally have of the more expensive things, in this case Adam and I shared the vegan rolls and used 2/3 of the falafel pack instead of the whole – this keeps costs down as there’s so much other food you get full!

Ingredients:
Aldi Vegan Pakora – 83p
Carrots – 10p
Celery – 10p
Corn – 35p
Tomatoes – 10p
Hummus – 40p
Aldi Sausages – £1.20
Aldi Vegan Roll – 50p
Pitta Bread – 30p
Olives – 30p

Total – £4.18 (serves 2) so £2.09 each! 😱😱

Isn’t it insane how much food you can get for so little money?! I mean £2 for my whole plate is crazy!
