My literal addiction…DUMPLINGS
[recipe also on my website]
•1 Package Impossible “Beef”
•1 Package Store Bought Dumpling Wrappers
•1/4 Cup Green Onions, Sliced
•3 Tbsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce
•2 Tbsp Mirin (optional)
•1 Tbsp Garlic, Minced or Grated
•1 Tbsp Ginger, Minced or Grated
•1/2 Tbsp Sriracha
•1 tsp Sesame Oil
•1 tsp Agave (can substitute for maple syrup)
•Garnish with: Green Onions, Fried Shallots (store bought), Black Sesame Seeds, Regular Sesame Seeds
•1/4 Low Sodium Soy Sauce
•3 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
•2 tsp Sesame Oil
•2 tsp Chili Oil
•2 tsp Garlic, Minced or Grated
•2 tsp Ginger, Minced or Grated
•2 tsp Sriracha
•1 tsp Agave or Maple Syrup
•Sesame Seeds, for Garnish
•Green Onions, Sliced for Garnish
•Heat a large pot of water over medium high heat and bring to a boil.
•In a medium mixing bowl, combine Impossible “Beef”, green onions, soy sauce, Mirin, garlic, ginger, sriracha, sesame oil, and agave/maple syrup. Thoroughly mix.
•Have a small bowl of water on hand for this next step. Add a heaping teaspoon of your dumpling filling to the center of a dumpling wrapper. With your finger, wet the edges of your dumpling wrapper, fold the wrapper over, pinch the edges of the wrapper together. If you’d like you can add folds. I’m a visual learner so I recommend watching a couple videos and finding a method that works for you! Repeat this method until all your dumplings are made.
•Next, make your sauce. Combine all the ingredients for the sauce together in a medium bowl, whisk well to combine.
•Boil your dumplings for 2 minutes and remove from the water immediately with a large slotted spoon. If you cook these for longer than 2-3 minutes the texture will be off.
•Serve with dipping sauce and enjoy!
