Mung bean sambar ?
Do you train? Want to hit your protein intake per meal ? Then this is for you!
With 25g of protein per 100g, low fat and high fibre, this is exactly what you need without compensating for flavour and spice!
Recipe as follows:
1) cook one cup mung beans in water
2) in a separate pan, oil, 1tsp of mustard and fennel seeds and 1 onion
3) add in garlic and ginger chopped or 2tbsp of garlic ginger paste
4) add in 2 tomatoes and a tbsp of tamarind paste( if no tamarind then 4 tomatoes)
5) add mung beans
6) add sambar powder, cloves, dash of cinnamon and salt
