🥢🥡 Maple syrup tofu: quick, filling and delicious 😋⠀
⁠Perfect with some rice noodles and veggies on the side! I used to not like tofu at all, when I lived in China I tried it several times but it just didn’t do it for me. When I saw this recipe by @thezestylime it looked so good I couldn’t resist to give it another chance!⠀

♦️What you need⁠⠀
▪️a block of tofu, I used naked extra firm tofu by @tofooco⠀
▪️2 tbsp sriracha Mayo⠀
▪️ 2 tbsp soy sauce⠀
▪️3 tbsp maple or golden syrup⠀
▪️ cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp of cornstarch and 1 tbsp of water mixed together)⠀
▪️ 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (lemon juice works too)⠀
▪️ 1 tbsp oil (I used rapeseed oil ⠀
▪️ 3 tbsp of water⠀
▪️ 1/2 tsp garlic powder⠀

🟢Ready, steady, go!⁠⠀
⁠⠀
🔺Drain the Tofu and make sure it’s not too “spongy”. Cut it up and cook it in a pan until golden.⠀
⁠⠀
🔺Mix up all the ingredients above and add the mixture to the tofu once it’s ready. Stir it up with the tofu until it’s all covered with the sauce. Put some sesame seeds on top if you have some.⠀

🔺Serve with veggies and rice noodles for a nice little filling dinner!⠀
