Maple Hoisin Tofu With Sticky Rice, Sautéed Pak Choi & Kim

Maple hoisin tofu with sticky rice, sautéed pak choi & kimchi 🥢🥡🍚 the final dinner I am cooking at home after 6 whole months since the start of lockdown !! 😢 Obvi had to be a tofu dish & what a way to end it 😈

🥢 maple hoisin tofu recipe 🥢 from @thefoodietakesflight (serves 2)
•2 tbsp hoisin sauce • 3 tbsp maple syrup • 1 tbsp soy sauce • 2 cloves grated garlic • 2 tsp sriracha adjust according to desired heat • splash of water • block of @tofooco firm tofu (or other) •

– Press tofu for at least 10 minutes and slice into thick 1-inch strips then sprinkle with cornflour & salt
– Mix all other ingredients together in a bowl and set aside
– heat some oil (I used sesame) in a non stick pan and once hot, add in the sliced tofu 🥢 Fry the tofu until lightly brown on all sides then pour in the sauce mix and then cook the tofu in the sauce over medium heat until it thickens
– Once the tofu has absorbed some of the sauce, turn off the heat and serve with sticky rice 😜
