In the Mood for an Indian Breakfast: I’m assembling the ingredients to make idli, Indian steamed rice? patties most commonly eaten for breakfast or snacks & traditionally served with sambar & coconut chutney. I just ordered some more urad daal (black lentils) & poha dagdi (thick flattened rice flakes), which are also common ingredients for the batter, so once I get those, I’m going to make them for breakfast. I might make a video on how to make those, so stay tuned…. This meal is particularly great for runners, & marathoners, in particular, since it’s got lots of healthy carbs to fuel those long runs. As you may already know, elite marathoners??‍♀️from all over the world? eat rice in many different forms to help support their training & athletic performance goals.
