if I were to create a bingo game for the recipes I post, [something with apple] and [anything crumble] would be on the template right next to [literally anything chocolate] 🃏

✨apple cinnamon crumble cake✨
ingredients for a 26cm cake:

for the dough:
300g flour
90g sugar
pinch of salt
pinch of baking powder
0.5tsp vanilla extract
200g margarine/vegan butter
some non-dairy milk

for the filling:
4 apples (ca. 500g)
300g applesauce
70g (agave) syrup
20g cornstarch
some cinnamon, ground cloves and nutmeg

for the crumble:
150g flour
pinch of salt
80g sugar
130g margarine/vegan butter
1tsp cinnamon

. combine all the ingredients for the dough. it might take some milk for everything to come together really well, but add only as much as you feel really necessary
. take your prepared baking dish and cover its insides with the dough (sorry for the phrasing)
. chop up the apples – I find that not peeling them works perfectly fine – and add the other ingredients for the filling. give it a mix, then pour it on top of the dough
. combine the ingredients for the crumble – it doesn’t need to come together as well as the actual dough. cover the cake with chunks of this dough
. bake at 180° for about 50 minutes
