Having Madeleines after dinner ?
INGREDIENTS:
200g Melted Dairy free spread
1 tsp Ground Turmeric
30g Gram flour
20g Cornstarch
50ml Soy/coconut or almond milk
1 Lemon juice and zest
150g Sugar
10ml Vanilla essence
5g baking powder
150g plain flour
1 handful chia seeds
METHOD:
You will need 2 bowls
In one bowl combine the sugar and flour and baking powder
In another bowl, place the turmeric powder, Cornstarch,gram flour and dairy free milk and whisk
Then add the melted butter to the mix,
Then add 1 lemons juice and it’s zest
Mix well – a hand mixer if possible then add to the flour mix to form a thick batter
Once the batter is formed add the chia seeds and put all the mixture in a piping bag and freeze for 1 hour
Remove from freezer cut a hole at the end of the piping bag approx 1cm a long
Spray the moulds with oil and fill the tray with equal amounts of batter
Bake for 10 mins at 160 C and enjoy ?
