1 cup plain flour
1 cup wholemeal flour
1/2 cup coconut sugar / cane sugar
1/2 cup cacao powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Pinch of sea salt
1/2 cup hot water
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 cup plant based mylk
1 medium apple cored and diced
1/3 cup neutral flavoured oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Line and grease your loaf pan and preheat your oven to 180 c.
In a large mixing bowl add your dry ingredients and mix lightly.
In your high speed blender add your plant based mylk, apple cider vinegar, oil and vanilla and blend TIL smooth. Pour this into your dry ingredients and mix to combine but don’t over mix. Now pour in your hot water and mix again. Pour your batter into your prepared loaf tin and bake for 45 to 55 minutes depending on your oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes away clean. Allow to cool completely before slicing. I drizzled over extra chocolate sauce to serve.
