GRILLED VEGAN CAESAR SALAD ?. This served 6 people.
I’ve always wanted to try a grilled romaine salad and all’s I can say is, why did I wait so long!? This salad was DELICIOUS. Vegan and non vegan approved. ✔️
Garlic Croutons –
6 slices bread – sandwich bread but trust me
4 cloves garlic
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
2 tbsp olive oil
– I separated the bread into 2 piles of 3 slices of bread.
– I sliced the 3 slices into cubes. Because the bread was so fresh the 3 slices formed together to form a bigger croutons.
– Toast these plain in the air fryer for about 4 min on 400.
– Mix oil, garlic, nutritional yeast and bread together and make sure croutons are evenly coated
– Bake in air fryer for 5 minutes on 400 or until croutons are golden
DRESSING- I made extra, if you don’t need this much just cut the recipe in half.
1 cup @followyourheart vegan mayo
5-6 cloves finely chopped garlic
1 small shallot finely diced
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp capers finely chopped
2 tbsp of caper brine
2 tsp nutritional yeast
1/2c @violife_foods vegan parm
2 tbsp fresh parsley
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne to taste
– Add all ingredients into a mason jar or airtight container. Let sit overnight or use right away!
3 hearts of Romaine
Slice romaine hearts down the middle. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Spray with nonstick spray and grill for about 8-10 minutes or until grill marks are visible.
Romaine + dressing + croutons = the best salad you will ever have!
