GREEN Recipe Fridays is here! Trick your kids into eating vegetables with these delicious -Cheesy garlic Kale Chips! 🧀
These kale chips are super easy, deliciously cheesy and they have all that crisp factor of a bag of chips! ( well almost 🙂 They are an amazing healthy alternative. Bonus that they are vegan, paleo and gluten free.

Nutritional yeast gives them a nutty, nutrient-rich cheesy flavor without any added dairy. It contains Riboflavin (B12), Niacin (B3), Thiamin (B1), B12, Folic Acid (B9), and B6.
Nutritional yeast also contains minerals like iron, selenium and zinc.

These kale chips are coated in a tahini sunflower seed mixture for crunch and a dose of healthy fats.

Ingredients:
* 1 bunch of organic Curly Kale
* 4 tbsp of Olive oil
* 4tbsp of Nutritional yeast
* Sea salt
* Garlic Powder
* 2 table spoons of lemon juice
* 1/4 cup hulled organic Tahini
* 2 table spoons of Tamari ( gluten free soya sauce)

👉🏻Method: Making kale chips couldn’t be simpler! Just wash and drain the kale, dry with paper towel to remove all moisture. Next remove the stems. Kale stems are woody and practically inedible, which is why you only want to make kale chips using the leaves. The easy way to do this is to grab the stem tightly with your fingers and then quickly slide them upwards, removing the leaves as you go.

In a seperate bowl add the oil, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, tahini and tamari.
With your hands, mix in the flavors by gently rubbing the seasoning onto the kale leaves as though you were massaging the kale. Make sure to coat evenly.
Spread out onto a parchment paper-lined baking tray without overlapping. Any overlapping kale will bake much slower.
Sprinkle with salt and garlic powder.

Bake kale chips at a low temperature- 275F for about 30min-60 min. Low temperature prevents the kale from cooking too quickly and burning. Stir every 10 minutes. Repeat until all the kale chips are evenly dark green and crispy.
Once the kale chips are done, remove them from the oven.
