Ginger Hibiscus Iced Tea (Agua de Jamaica)// isn’t this gorgeous? 😍 hibiscus tea is a common drink in any authentic Mexican restaurant, but I had a version with ginger last year while visiting Mexico that totally blew my mind! Who knew this would be such a good flavor combo?!
I came across dried hibiscus flowers at my local @heb and was so excited to finally make this at home!
To make:
1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
1.5-2” fresh ginger shredded
4 cups boiling water
Your choice of sweetner to taste

.
Combine ingredients and cover, letting the flowers steep for 15 minutes. Pour through a mesh sieve over ice and combine with your favorite sweetener. The longer the tea steeps the more sour it gets, you can add more water/ice if you want it less sour.
Note: habiacus tea is very acidic (similar to citrus) and can damage teeth. It is recommended to rinse teeth after drinking or drink through a straw.
