​Two Lentil Dal by @the_clumsy_vegan 🌿 Best enjoyed with some rice or bread for a really comforting meal!

Recipe:
Ingredients
Tomatoes: 3
Onions: 2
Ginger: 1 inch grated
Curry leaves: 3-4(optional)
Garlic: 2 cloves minced
Tomato paste: 1 T
Spinach: 3 C
Chana dal: ΒΎ C cooked
Masoor dal : ¼ C cooked 🌿
Whole Spices:
Cumin seeds: 1 t
Mustard seeds: 1 t
Cinnamon: 1 inch
Asafoetida: Β½ t
🌿
Spice powder:
Coriander powder: 2 t
Turmeric: 1
Red chilli: 2 t
Garam masala: 2 t
🌿
Oil: 2 T
Water: 1C
Salt to taste
🌿
Method:
-Add tomatoes and peeled onions to boiling water. Boil for 5-7 minutes. Drain and blend into a paste with the listed spice powders
-Heat oil in a pan and add listed whole spices, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and tomato paste. Cook for a few minutes and add the prepared paste. – Cook stirring till oil separates then add lentils and water -Bring to a simmer and stir in spinach. Season as desired
