Flavorful, no-fuss, Moong Dal with

cashew yogurt This dal cooks quickly and uses ingredients you likely already have on hand. I didn’t have curry leaves so I substituted with lime zest and fresh basil. It was so flavorful. (You can increase the cumin seeds to 1 tbsp if you prefer

more intense flavor.)

Heat some neutral flavored oil in medium saucepan. Add 2 tsp cumin seeds and cook about 30 seconds until fragrant. V Add 1 small chopped onion, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1-inch

piece ginger (minced) and 1-2 green chilis (deseeded+minced). Sauté until onion is golden brown, leaves, 1-1/2 tsp ground coriander, 3/4 tsp turmeric, 3/4 tsp Garam Masala, . (The lime zest and basil are to substitute for Salt to taste. Serve with chopped fresh coriander and cashew yogurt (optional).
