FALAFELS!!🙉aka. My favourite addition to a salad bowl🤤

These ones are a super simple recipe with the addition of turmeric for all those wonderful anti-inflammatories & antioxidants 💛

Ingredients:
• 150g chickpeas, drained (or can use butter beans or white beans)
• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
• 1 garlic clove
• 1/2 tsp mixed herbs
• 50g chopped white onion
• 1 tbsp (roughly 20g) flour of choice (I use @dovesfarm wholemeal spelt flour)
• 1/2 tsp ground cumin
• dash of water if needed
• sesame seeds for coating

Method:
1. Literally place all the ingredients except for the sesame seeds into a food processor and blend until a dough forms. Don’t worry if it’s slightly lumpy- it won’t be completely smooth!
2. Heat up the oven to 180°C. Mould the dough into falafels by splitting the mixture into 5 and rolling it into balls.
3. Place on a baking tray and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Then place in the oven. These roughly take 20 minutes, but I honestly never time them, I just wait until they are crispy on top and soft in the middle😂
4. Pair them with a salad bowl and a dollop of tahini, hummus or avocado!
These also taste great cold and eaten the next day! They’re super moist and fudgy 😋
