Ever since my trip to Vietnam (and the abundance OF Banh Mi’s I had there), I’ve wanted to make this dish so much! And here it is, finally, and I can’t say I’m dissapointed!

Vietnamese food and culture is greatly influenced by the French due to The country’s colonisation by the French empire. As a result, a lot of its food especially is a mix of French ingredients combined with Vietnamese tradition and cuisine.

This BANH MI is no different; it is a Vietnamese street food sandwich popular around the world and amazing in taste that is made in a French baguette filled with pickled vegetables, coriander, mayonnaise, some spicy Sriracha, and a salty soy protein – in my case crispy tofu.
