Confused about what to cook for lunch?
This Sunday treat yourself with Jhatpat Bharwa Tamatar🍅
Bharwa Tamatar goes well with rice or chapati, as per your choice 🤩
Ingredients – 3-4 raw tomatoes, not too much riped (extract the tomato juice from inside and keep separately)
1 big potato
One bowl fine chopped onion
Boil the potato, mash it & mix it well with cumin powder, black salt, coriander leaves and green chilli.
On one side, heat a pan for 5-7 mins and put in on low flame. Add some oil & once heated up, put the tomatoes in for cooking. Every 2 mins, turn the tomato & cook from all sides.
While tomato is getting ready, take another pan, add butter or oil, cumin seeds, dal chini, eliachi and laung.
Add finely chopped onion & fry till it turns golden brown. Add tomato puree to it and prepare gravy. Once it’s cooked well, keep it in veg low flame.
Stuff the tomatoes semi cooked with potato masala slowly. Once done, keep all stuffed tomatoes in the gravy and cover with lid for 5-7 mins.
For serving, first keep the gravy on platter and then keep stuffed tomatoes. Sparkle it with coriander leaves for texture 😋
