Chocolate Hazelnut Granola
A delicious, healthy snack with oats, dark chocolate and hazelnuts that oozes chocolaty goodness
Time: Prep (10mins), Bake (15mins)
Coconut Oil (1/3 cup)
Maple Syrup (1/4 cup)
Cocoa Powder (1/4 cup)
Coconut Sugar (1/4 cup)
Vanilla Extract (1/4 tbsp)
Gluten-Free Rolled Oats (2 cups)
Desiccated Coconut (1/2 cup)
Sea Salt & Cayenne Pepper (pinch)
Hazelnuts (1/2 cup, chopped)
Shredded Dark Chocolate (1/4 cup)
1. Preheat your oven to 170C/340F.
2. In a bowl, combine coconut oil, maple syrup, cacao powder, coconut sugar, vanilla extract, oats, desiccated coconut, sea salt and cayenne pepper. Mix thoroughly.
3. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Pour in the oat mixture and spread it evenly across the entire tray. Place it in the oven and bake for about 15 minutes, mixing it halfway through. Remove the tray from the oven and add in the hazelnuts and dark chocolate. Mix thoroughly.
Add the granola to an airtight glass container and preserve for up to 1 month.
The granola can be served over any plant-based milk, plant-based yogurt or on its own.
