Chinese style tofu minced ” pork ” ⠀
⠀
Confession time – I am not a huge fan of tofu before going vegan. In my head, it is super boring and have no flavour whatsoever. ⠀
⠀
But after trying out various tofu recipes and learning how to properly cook them, tofu is now one of my favourite thing to work with ! This tofu mince is definitely one of my favourite dish to have. Pair them with some fluffy brown rice , I can literally have bowls of it ?.⠀
⠀
Ingredients ⠀
– 1 16 oz block tofu⠀
– 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce/ tamari ⠀
– 1 tsp onion powder ⠀
– 1 tsp garlic powder ⠀
– 1 tsp maple syrup ⠀
– 1 tsp sesame oil ⠀
-2-3 dry black fungus, soaked in hot water for 20 mins & sliced thinly( optional) ⠀
⠀
⠀
Start by crumbling the tofu into tiny pieces.⠀
Then, combine all seasonings to make your sauce. ⠀
⠀
Heat up a pan and cook the black fungus for 1-2 minutes, if using. ⠀
⠀
Add in the tofu and cook for another 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently. Turn off the heat and pour in the sauce. Stir until everything is thoroughly incorporated. It can then be served ! ⠀
