🌱Cheezy Broccoli Fritters🌱I know you’re all going to ask for the pasta recipe 😂. I have know idea how I made that cheese sauce. I totally winged it. Anyway, these fritters I do remember! And they’re delicious and super easy. 🌱You can refrigerate leftovers or make ahead of time and reheat them in the oven. They come out great. 🌱For less oil, you can reduce the amount of oil and pan fry in very little oil until golden brown on both sides and bake for about 10 minutes until cooked inside. 💚Happy Saturday friends.💚
🌱✅Fritter Recipe: Makes 6 ✅Steam 1 medium head broccoli florets until just tender. Using a sharp knife, slice the buds (darker green parts) from the top of the florets. Transfer 1 cup of the buds to a small bowl. Set aside. ✅Mix 1 tablespoon flax meal with 3 tablespoons warm water to make the flax egg. Set aside for at least 10 minutes to form a gel. ✅In a medium bowl, mix together 2/3 cup garbanzo flour, 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon paprika, and 3/4 teaspoon salt. ✅Add 1/3 cup non-dairy milk, the flax egg, and the broccoli buds and stir to combine. ✅Add 2/3 cup chickpeas and use your hands to incorporate all the ingredients. ✅Add enough oil to cover the base of a large skillet, and about ¼-inch high. Heat the oil over medium-high heat. (To test if the oil is hot enough, drop a small amount of the batter into the skillet. It will sizzle once the oil is ready.) ✅Use about a palm-size amount of batter to form the fritters. Fit as many fritters into the skillet as possible without them touching. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes a side, or until a dark golden brown. Do not flip before the underside has browned. Add more oil as needed.
