Broken Wheat Vermicelli Upma, along with Green Chilli Pickle for breakfast!

Broken Wheat – 1/2 cup
Vermicelli – 1 cup
Water – 2 cups
Tomato- 1
Carrot – 1
Green Peas – 1/2 cup
Onion – 1/2 (Optional)
Broccoli- 1 cup
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal – 1/2 tsp (Optional)
Channa Dal – 1/2 tsp (Optional)
Curry Leaves – 4
Ginger – 1/2 inch
Green Chillies – 2

Heat oil in a pan, add Mustard seeds, cumin seeds, Channa Dal, Urad Dal, curry leaves, ginger, green chillies. Once they are roasted, add veggies, and salt and let them cook. Add water and let them roll boil and add broken wheat and cook for a minute or two. Add vermicelli and close the lid and let them cook for another minute. Serve along with some pickle, Chutney or plain yogurt.
