Broccolini in garlic sauce
– [ ] 2 tbs Olive oil + 2 tsp sesame oil
– [ ] 1 onion, thinly sliced
– [ ] 5 garlic, minced
– [ ] 3 bundles of broccolini, rinsed
– [ ] 1 tbs cornstarch
– [ ] 4 tbs water
– [ ] 1 tbs chinese rice wine
– [ ] 1 tsb salt n pepper

– [ ] In a medium size pot, bring water to a boil and add the broccolini, blanch for a minute and drain, then put the broccolini into cold water to stop the cooking process.
– [ ] In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water and use a spoon to stir until completely dissolved
– [ ] Heat olive and sesame oil in a large pan over high heat, add onion and garlic , stir fry for a minute (or until golden brown) and pour in rice wine. Let the mixture come to a boil.
– [ ] Give cornstarch another quick stir as the water tends to separate after some time. Stir in and let the sauce cook and thicken.
– [ ] Lastly, add in the blanched broccolini, stir and turn off the heat.
– [ ] Add salt and pepper and mix well.
– [ ] Plate and serve hot with tempe in chilli paste (sambal) and coconut rice!
