Better than store-bought hummus! 😋

Ingredients ✔️

1 can chickpeas or
1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup well-stirred tahini
1 small garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Salt to taste
2 to 3 tablespoons (30 to 45 ml) water
Dash ground paprika, red pepper or sumac, for serving

Mix tahini and lemon juice in the blender or food processor till it turns lighter in colour, then add the garlic, olive oil, salt, and cumin and process again.
Add the chickpeas and water (for a smoother hummus) and process for another minute or two.

Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and pepper on top.
