⁣baked Miso Glazed Cauliflower Steak Served With Brown Ric

⁣baked miso glazed cauliflower steak served with brown rice & shiitake mushrooms on top 🖤⠀

it’s extremely simple but it’s an umami flavor bomb, which is one of the main things I look in a dish! ⠀

things I used: ⠀
2 medium sized heads of cauliflower ⠀
5-6 cloves of garlic ⠀
red chili flakes (based on ur tolerance for spice) ⠀
1 tbsp of vegan butter ⠀
1 tbsp white miso ⠀
100g of shiitake mushrooms ⠀
salt & pepper to taste ⠀
1/2 tbsp of brown sugar ⠀
1/8 cup of water (deglazing purposes only feel free to add or take away based on how saucey u want it!!) ⠀

directions: ⠀
– cut your cauliflower into “steak” pieces I think 1/2inch is maximum thinness ⠀
– finely minced garlic ⠀
– pop cauliflower in the oven, season with salt and pepper to taste & drizzle with olive oil (I did 180C for 20 minutes of your desired char on the cauliflower but as you can see in my photos, I like a nice char) ⠀
– brown vegan butter until nice & foamy, sauté in mushrooms, add salt and pepper & set aside ⠀
– with your leftover foamy butter in the pan + mushroom umami flavor, add in your minced garlic & throw in your red chili flakes & freshly cracked black pepper (we’re letting the aromatics bloom) ⠀
– deglaze the pan with water & miso mixed together, we want to glaze to stop the cooking process of the garlic ⠀
– add in another nob of butter & sugar ⠀
– mix to melt sugar & incorporate butter in, add/subtract ingredients according to taste & once you are happy!! add freshly roasted cauliflower & toss in the pan to coat ⠀
– finish with toasted almonds & more red chili flakes ⠀
– serve with yummy brown rice & tada you’re done!
