APPLE KANELBULLAR ROSES ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ’›
๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง (German in the comment) How do you call those delicious rolls with cinnamon? In Sweden they are called Kanelbullar, in Denmark Kanelsnegle, in some parts of Germany Schneckennudeln and of course Zimtschnecken โ˜บ๏ธ
No matter how you call them I bet you will love the recipe below which I received from a friend and adapted a bit ๐Ÿ˜‹

INGREDIENTS FOR THE APPLE KANELBULLAR ROSES
๐Ÿ”ต 600ml oat milk
๐Ÿ”ต 50g yeast
๐Ÿ”ต 1kg flour
๐Ÿ”ต 10g salt
๐Ÿ”ต 15g cardamom
๐Ÿ”ต 100g sugar
๐Ÿ”ต 150g coconut oil
๐Ÿ”ต 1 apple
๐Ÿ”ต1 tablespoon cinnamon

For the filling:
๐Ÿ”ต 100g coconut oil
๐Ÿ”ต 100g sugar
๐Ÿ”ต 20g cinnamon

For the icing:
๐Ÿ”ต 50g icing sugar
๐Ÿ”ต 3 teaspoons oat milk

DIRECTIONS
1๏ธโƒฃ Mix the oat milk and yeast, add flour, sugar, salt and cardamom and knead for about 10min.
2๏ธโƒฃ Add the coconut oil and knead for another 10min. Allow the dough to rise for at least 3h
3๏ธโƒฃ Just before the dough has risen long enough, prepare the filling: mix coconut oil, sugar and cinnamon with a whisk
4๏ธโƒฃ Cut the apple into thin slices, steam with water and the cinnamon for approx. 5 to 10min. Then drain the remaining water
5๏ธโƒฃ Roll out the dough on a floured surface approx. 30x60cm and spread the filling evenly over it
6๏ธโƒฃ Cut the dough into thirds with your hands and place each of them in the middle to make three layers of dough
7๏ธโƒฃ Roll out the dough back to its original size and cut into approx. 2.5 finger wide strips
8๏ธโƒฃ For the Kanelbullar with apple, place the steamed slices along the dough and then roll the dough up; For the classic Kanelbullar, twist the stripes loosely (like a curl) and then wrap 2x around the index and middle finger, then thread the end through like a knot
9๏ธโƒฃ Place all the Kanelbullar on a baking tray and bake for 20min
